Math Corner

      The Department of Mathematics and Statistics has been established in 1995 offering complementary papers for BBA, BCA & BSc Electronics programmes. UG programme in Mathematics viz. BSc Mathematics with Computer Science Model II (Vocational Course) has been introduced in 2007 under Self financing stream with an intake of 30. The Complementary Course for this UG curriculum is Operation Research. MES College Marampally is the only college offering BSc Mathematics in self financing stream with Operation Research as the complimentary course. The department offers Open course in Applicable Mathematics for the students of other streams. Apart from these, the department offers Complementary Courses to BSc Physics, BSc Psychology and BVoc programmes.  Add-on courses in Basic Statistics and Advanced Statistics has been introduced in 2017 for the UG students in Mathematics. Well experienced six faculty members working in the department have good academic track records. The entire nine pass out batches have excellent academic results with an average of 80% pass and A+ grades. Our student Nafsiya T. B. secured II Rank in MG University in the year 2011. Our students show vivid performances in University youth festivals and Intercollegiate sports events.  Regular apex events of our department include:
